We’re evolving. And in a good way too. There was a time where being a geek was a very bad thing. It meant a childhood filled with teasing, misunderstanding and a face plant into the mud. Then the tech boom came and though it went it’s still cool to be a geek. Of course, now that it’s cool a lot of people call themselves geeks and that bugs me. If you don’t wear a plaid shirt, have a degree in computer science and write code (real code, not HTML) then you’re not a black belt geek. Maybe you’re a yellow belt or a green one or whatever colour karate students start with. Is it white? I don’t know, I did Kung Fu and the belt system it totally different.
Anyway, I have a geek, a real geek. And a good one too. I’m so proud that he’s mine and I hug him everyday, or at least, I try to. It’s hard not to get in a few hugs because he looks so darn cute in his plaid shirts. If you have one in your life, have you hugged them today? If you are one, here’s an online hug from me to you.
