There are lots of gorgeous colour palettes floating around online. However, I find the most popular ones, although lovely to gaze upon, are not really that functional. The tones are usually bright and feminine which would look terrible when actually applied in reality and there isn’t any insight as to how to use the colours. This is a major oversight for people who don’t gleefully muck around with colours all day like your average designer might.
Colour Palettes are for Girls
My biggest issue though, is the images, swatches and combinations tend to be far too girly, adored by housewives and brides-to-be, but a major turnoff to the rest of us, especially men and tomboys (like myself).
fascination obsession with colour has driven me to create a series of professional colour palettes to help guide the more colourblind among us. It’s my small attempt to bring a little more beauty into the world, because I have to say, I see a lot of bland, uninspired colour combinations out there. Unlike writing code or fumbling your way through InDesign, choosing colours can actually be fun and simple, now that I’m going to lay it all out for you.
These can be used for business, branding, web design, home decor or any other place you can think of. The palettes have been designed to show 2 potential web applications but could be adapted to just about any creative endeavour. Download the high-res PDF or copy the images for future reference. Note that I’ve also included the colour codes so you don’t have to guess or even have to think.

Wait… What’s This? It’s the Colour Codes!
More palettes are in the works so if you enjoyed this please subscribe for updates. And feel free to share these palettes with the world. The more colour-challenged people we can help, the more beautiful the world will be.
